Why does phosphorescent tape glow?

There are two principles of luminescence in the phosphorescent tape:
One is that the phosphorescent tape USES a natural mineral that can store light. When the outside world darkens, it releases some of the stored light naturally, creating a luminous effect.
The other is that the phosphorescent tape USES non-woven fabric as the raw material. After being irradiated by the uv lamp, it produces the effect of starting light.
Usually what we call the luminous principle is the first kind.
The fluorescence materials used today are mainly white powders of zinc sulfide or copper sulfide. When they are exposed to light, they absorb a small amount of energy, and when they leave the light, they emit a faint glow that is green.
Very little activator is often added to the fluorescene: 1 parts per million of cupric chloride and cupric nitrate increase brightness; Adding materials such as manganese chloride or silver nitrate can produce different colors of light.
